Atex skids for solvent transfer and dosing

Belli Meccanica designs and creates custom skid for dosing and transfer of solvents and flammable liquids

The skid in picture was designed  for an important italian company that operates in the solvent market 
The customer required a pump on skid capable of going in suction from undergronud tanks and pushing the liquid  to another storage tank. The pumped quantity had to be dosed very sharply with the aim of creating a solvent blend in the discharge tank. The request was also for a portable solution so that the pumps could be used in different tanks and pumping points in the outside area.

Because of the high vapour pressure of the pumped liquids, the pump should be capable of high suction and low npsh required. Furthermore Atex zone 1 compliance was requested   

We designed and produced the skids with the following features    
 

-Pump Atex zone 1 with 5,5kW motor, flowrate 30mc/h
-Turbine flowmeter Atex zone 1
-Control panel Atex zone 1 with batch dosing function
-Electric panel Atex zone 1 with cable and plug
-Piping with ball valve, caplet check valve and bypass parallel pipe for flow inversion, drain piping plugs
-Steel frame with wheels
-Opening inox steel enclosure for panel protection  
-Durable epox painting with polyurethane finishing

The pump internal clearances has been set in order to obtain a dry suction capability of -0,8bar (8m of water column) of vacuum, making the self priming from underground tanks optimal
