Hollow disk pump C series

Positive displacement hollow disk pump with internal seal. The seal is located internally and the pump shaft is supported on roller bearings. This configuration makes the pump compact and economical but providing good performances. Self-priming with high dry suction capacity, reversible, it tolerates solid parts, reliable and robust in any type of application. This pump model is available in single body, double body or triple body versions and it’s also available in stainless steel.

Working principle

Elastic, simple, robust

The oscillating hollow disk moves inside the body generating two volumes, the suction volume and the discharge volume, separated by the diaphragm. The fluid passes through the openings of the pump body. The hollow disk is kept pressed against the walls of the body by a spring which makes the system elastic and allows the passage of solid bodies. Compared to competitor models, the new range of hollow disk pumps developed by Belli Meccanica starting from 2008, has wider sliding surfaces and reduced eccentricity of the disk. These technical improvements ensure excellent performance and superior reliability.

    Internal seal

    Simple and less expensive structure with compact dimensions.

    In-line coupling

    The in-line coupled arrangement avoids any type of misalignment between pump and gearmotor, vibrations and overloads on the bearings.

    Pump body with sliding surfaces and reduced eccentricity of the disk

    Higher suction capacity, less wear and smoother operation compared to the old hollow disk pump models and competitor models.

    Hollow disk with guided bushing

    The disk bushing is designed with an external guide that ensures effective support on the shaft and avoids the use of the spring end cup.

    Flanges according to UNI ISO PN10

    The flange connections are standardized UNI ISO PN10, adapters for ANSI RF150 and other types of fittings are available on request.

    Heating jacket in option

    The pump body heating jacket is available for pumping hot liquids. The pump jacket is equipped with threaded connections for hot water, steam or diathermic oil line.
